What Guests Are Saying
Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country is a beloved vacation spot with friendly staff, immaculate cabins, and a beautiful setting. Guests appreciate the variety of activities, including the alpine coaster and mini-golf, and many enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. While some noted issues with cabin cleanliness and high golf cart rental prices, overall experiences were positive with plans to return.

Our favorite vacation spot for few years now!! Definitely worth the drive from Houston. The alpine coaster is great attraction for all ages. The most recent stay, we tried the elevated cabins. It was so pretty and a very hill country experience. Very safe too.

This place is amazing! The staff is super friendly and it’s a great place to have fun and relax.
Our cabin was immaculate. Housekeepers Jaden, Charlie, and Kim put a cute finishing touch with an origami towel pet.
The grounds are well kept and Kendall the GM was super accommodating with all of our needs. I recommend this place to anybody!!

We had originally went to Camp Fimfo in November to ride the coaster. The campground looked like so much fun that we ended up renting a cabin in January. There were seven of us and we stayed in cabin 673 at the top of the hill. The cabin was very spacious, contained cookware, dinnerware, and utensils. Towels and linens were also provided. We were there during the ice storm and stayed plenty warm. We still took advantage of the Pickleball court and dog park. During this time all of the pools were closed. They reopen again for spring break. Due to the ice storm, the zip line and coaster were closed, but that’s to be expected due to the weather. We had a great time, we stayed inside and played board games, cards and dice all weekend. We will definitely be going back.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last weekend. We booked it back in October, therefore, we did not know the weather was going to be freezing. We made the best of it anyway. I LOVED our little cabin and the location it was in. I can tell retired people come here in the winter. We enjoyed the quietness, emptiness, and seclusion while we were here. We had booked the Cliff Carver and zipline but it was canceled, unfortunately, due to the weather. Thankfully, we were refunded.
We walked around the camp grounds every morning for exercise.
The down part was the cabin could have been cleaned better, the water went off both days. Luckily it came back on when we were still there so we could take showers.

This place is really fun in scenic and very convenient to participate in all the activities. We did the Alpine Slide and the zipline and got a golf cart. We also did mini-golf and driving around the golf carts and going up the top of the hill to the playground at the top we had lots of fun. It was very pet friendly and our dogs for the whole family had a great time all the people attending were pretty good as well.
A few negatives, first off the golf carts are incredibly expensive. Almost punitively so. It cost $270 for 2 days to have a 6-person golf cart. It's completely outrageous, but the campground is large and sprawling so you definitely need them if you want to put less than 30,000 steps a day.
Also they told us that the pool was going to be open and the pool was not open this was the day after Christmas and over the weekend. We called explicitly to ask and they even told us the pool was heated. But, the working staff coldest that management doesn't understand that Texas is not covered in snow in the winter and idiotically closes the pool to whoever the management is get your act together and open a pool especially if that pool can be heated over christmas!
Everything else was really convenient including the check in and check out process.
We stayed in the 400 cabin section which was very secluded and quiet compared to some of the other ones and the cabins themselves were very nice I personally thought the shower was Tiny I'm 6'1 and I had to stoop to get in but it wasn't that bad considered. My kids had a great time
