Nice full hookup site! Well worth the trip. Just wish they had some dedicated mountain biking trails in the National Forest.

Camping sites were well spaced from each other and very clean. We parked in the Sycamore unit, close to the boat ramp and lake access. There were 2 restrooms in this section, both were very clean and well stocked with tt paper and hand soap. Showers were also clean and mildew free, the hot water was excellent. We felt the tables were a bit far from our camper. We were camping with another couple, so shared the table and fire pit that was in the middle of our spaces. Park hosts were excellent and came by several times a day to see if we needed anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and will be back again.

Camping in the Sam Houston national forest on Lake Conroe - it’s beautiful. It’s about nature at this park. No playground for the kids.

This is one of our favorite parks. The riding trails were closed most of our visit, the primary reason for our stay. We were walking them and unsure as to the reason they remained closed they were dry.
