Spent New Years Eve and day at Cagle this year. Another wonderful experience, weather was great, camp host were great. Stayed in the Sycamore Loop and loved it. Nothing better than full hook ups. Defiantly going back. The best campground within 50 miles of Houston.

This is a great COE park, large full hook up sites with plenty of room to walk/hike and boat. Only negatives are that some of the sites are not level and need the pads to be redone and the monstrous pine trees make TV/Satellite reception difficult.
If you need to run to town, Willis is only 10 minutes away with HEB, Krogers, pharmacies and anything else you’d need.

Jessie and Lee were awesome park rangers and very helpful! If you’re planning on having a fire, definitely bring something to chop wood with. They don’t allow outside wood, they provide plenty of logs and rounds, but very little of it is chopped up. Thankfully, a nearby group of campers who frequented the area were able to lend us some tools to chop with. Walked their short two mile trail which was awesome. Facilities were well kept, and all park members were very respectful. Would visit again, and highly recommend for other people looking to camp with their friends or family! It’s a very open space where all campers can mostly see each other, so keep that in mind when planning in-camp activities.
