We go there every spring break because the weather is usually pretty warm, but not this year. We particularly like the sweet gum section as the sites are much larger. No view of the lake but that’s ok as it right around the bend and has an excellent boat launch. Tall pine 🌲 trees all around and they also act as a wind break.

Second spring time trip to this lovely campground. Had a great time with family. Will be coming back. Enjoyed the walking trails and looking for nesting eagles

We were staying in site number 32 overlooking the lake. My only complaint is that this site is very un level. We almost didn’t have enough blocks for the back end. It drops off at the back other than that we had a great time.

Park was sparsely populated on Friday morning yet mowers started next to an older man in a tent, and areas that were not in need of mowing. Just thoughtless with so many other areas empty. Also we twice found a person we have not seen before standing a few feet behind our coach as we were sitting out front. I’ve never had any camp hosts that close without announcing themselves.

Camp sites were clean. Boat ramps were in good shape and boat trailer parking was ample.
