Hosts both Lee and Jessie were excellent! The sites were large and the campground mostly quiet. Only drawback was really no cell service. We have Verizon. Didnt use the bath house but did a peek. They were clean but definitely could use some updating. Would camp there again if in the area.

Pros: Quiet, Clean Restrooms
Cons: Small campsites, right over one another, no cell reception (tmobile), pesky raccoons (tried to get in our tent all night long even when leaving site super clean overnight), no communication from anyone, the precious tenants overstayed - had to be kicked out, leading to us waiting to set up.
Our site was the most private which was enjoyable...but those raccoons.... good grief.

The spaces had plenty of room between them . Lots of room to setup. The only drawback was that the driveway wasn't level and it was a challenge to level the trailer.

We stayed at Cagle for 2 nights. Fire pit was nice, neighbors were friendly and respectful. No problems with the excess noise after bedtime. Restrooms and showers were clean, but floors were damp. Hosts were nice and helpful. Nice trail right by the campsites, good for a family walk. I would stay here again. Did a short backpacking trip on the Lonestar trail that was a short drive from the camping area.

Turn right (west) on FM 1375. The Sam Houston District Office is on the right approximately 2.5 mi west of I-45. Cagle Recreation Area is approximately 6 mi west of I-45 and approximately 3 mi west of the District Office on the left hand side of FM 1375.
