We have been going to Cagle Recreation Area for 15 yrs. We absolutely love this place! The fishing is good, it’s not too busy, it has clean bathrooms/showers, and wonderful hosts! We will be back soon!

Overall, the park is very nice. Sites are far apart and kept up very well. We were in site 30. However, next to us were several unleashed dogs, who would walk over to our campsite and cause our dogs to bark. These other dogs yapped constantly , and really caused our stay to be ruined. Please enforce the leash rule and the quiet time rule!!

Overall, the park is very nice. Sites are far apart and kept up very well. We were in site 30. However, next to us were several unleashed dogs, who would walk over to our campsite and cause our dogs to bark. These other dogs yapped constantly , and really caused our stay to be ruined. Please enforce the leash rule and the quiet time rule!!

Cagle is our favorite place to take our RV, mainly because it's full hook ups, and also because of the more secluded nature of the park. It's also within 80 miles of home, and also close to all of the shopping facilities we might want to visit. Cagle is always nice and clean, and the hosts are super friendly. We're booked again for September.

From Huntsville, Texas, take I-45 to mile marker 103, New Waverly exit, and go to the first stop sign. Do not turn; stay straight on the feeder until you reach the stop sign at FM 1375. Turn right (west) on FM 1375. The Sam Houston District Office is on the right approximately 2.5 miles west of I-45. Cagle Recreation Area is approximately 6 miles west of I-45 and approximately 3 miles west of the District Office on the left hand side of FM 1375.
From Conroe, Texas, take I-45 to mile marker 102, New Waverly exit, and go to the first stop sign. Turn left (west) on FM 1375. The Sam Houston District Office is on the right approximately 2.5 miles west of I-45. Cagle Recreation Area is approximately 6 miles west of I-45 and approximately 3 miles west of the District Office on the left hand side of FM 1375.
Cagle Recreation Area is accessible via I-45, with the New Waverly exit providing access to FM 1375, which leads directly to the campground approximately 6 miles west of the interstate.
