Cagle is a favorite spot for us. The hosts do a great job and are helpful without hovering. The shower buildings are always clean. It does Sam Houston proud.

The park was well kept. Restrooms were clean but dated. They could use fresh paint. Park is near Texas lone star trail. Although our site had water issues, the park host texted us prior to our arrival and assigned us a new site. We left one day early due to weather, freezing temperatures, and were refunded without any complications.

Would be excellent but mid 12/22 Cagle CG water well failed. They forced evacuation of campground although I was fully contained, full tank of water. I believe they could have allowed me and others to stay understanding we were on our own like in Austin State Park, 02/21. I had to rush out that day and find another place to go. I had to pay much more than what I had reserved for, on my limited income. I would ask them to re-evaluate the policy to allow Dry Camping in those events, otherwise, great CG.
