Some pin head parked his horse trailer in my spot. Went riding for hours. Dropped Horse $hit on my site. Should have been arrested for trespassing and dropping biohazard on my site. I know if I dropped black water there I would be banned.

Very quiet and peaceful setting, lots of shade, close to the water, close to New Waverly or Willis if you need supplies or a good hamburger!

Our site was a little too sunny for us but all in all it was a good site. We like to walk the trail between the loops but due to how unlevel it is we had to walk in the road. Cagle is a great park.

The site was quiet and relaxing even with a light rain shower occuring. The main loop trail around the campsite was sufficent for us who was there for the weekend. The shower on site was good though the push button took a bit getting used to.
Verizon had spotty coverage but when it did connect it was enough for email, calls and texts alongside low quality video streaming.

The boat dock is very nice. The washrooms super close to our tent site and relatively clean (not the cleanest I've seen in terms of shower stalls). A lot of spiders, like 30-40 counted at night. Found a cute frog while showering lol. When I was there the 2nd time, burn ban was in effect :( even though it just rained that morning.

Turn right (west) on FM 1375. The Sam Houston District Office is on the right approximately 2.5 mi west of I-45. Cagle Recreation Area is approximately 6 mi west of I-45 and approximately 3 mi west of the District Office on the left hand side of FM 1375.
