Port A RV Resort

Nice place to stay great location ,grounds were nice ,rv sites good size ,2 pools and hot tub I would go back there again.

I moved here about 3 weeks ago and I love it.It's right on the bus line that can take me anywhere.I want in town and in corpus christi. Not to mention the great management and the swimming pools , hot tubs and social activities.

I recently stayed at Port A RV Resort and wanted to share a balanced review for anyone considering a visit.
First, the positives: the fishing pond is fantastic. It’s well-maintained, peaceful, and a great spot to relax and unwind. The pricing is also very reasonable compared to other places in the area, which makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers.

However, this resort is definitely not kid-friendly, or family friendly, and therefore would NOT recommend it for families. During our stay, there were multiple emails sent out-every single day actually, that felt overly strict and, at times, chastising—particularly toward children. Kids riding electric scooters or even fishing near the pond seemed to draw complaints, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere.
While I understand the need for rules and safety, the tone and frequency of the communication made it feel unwelcoming for families. If you're traveling with children, this is not the place. Originally, when we booked our spot, we chose a site right off of the pond because we knew our family would like to fish. When we checked in, they bumped us to a different spot and without our knowledge, there are only specific designated areas to fish from which is kind of sad because it’s a nice shared amenity for all the park it would seem.
Overall, I wish this resort would state clearly in its website, it’s a retirement, or adults only park due to its unfriendly nature toward children. It's a solid choice for adults looking for a quiet, affordable place with great fishing—but families with kids -definitely find another location.

Port A RV Resort Review

Port A RV Resort is a super nice park and a great place to stay. The park is clean, well maintained, and laid out nicely. The staff is awesome — very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which really made our stay enjoyable.

There is no Wi-Fi, so be sure to plan accordingly. It can also get very windy at times, so if your RV has toppers, expect to hear them flapping in the wind. That said, the park itself is peaceful and well kept.

The beach is only about 5 minutes away, which is a big plus. While there aren’t a lot of restaurant options on the island, there are still a few good places to check out. If you plan on using a golf cart, note that they can only be used inside the park. Where the park is located, it is against the law to cross or drive down the street with a golf cart.

Overall, Port A RV Resort is a great place to stay with excellent staff and a beautiful setting. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

I lived in the park for two months and absolutely loved it!! Great amenities, pools are beautiful, and sites are well maintained. No stickers on the property or in the grass. Very pet friendly!! Prices are affordable and all staff is very nice. Also has a beach access road close by. I would definitely stay here again!
