We arrived on a Monday to stay for a week. I noticed all the trash containers were full from the weekend. In fact they were overflowing. The wind was so strong the first two days. Trash was blown everywhere. I constantly had to pick it up off of my site. I kept wondering when are they going to empty the trash. I had nowhere to put mine. It wasn’t until Friday. That they came and emptied the trash. I think they need the trash emptied twice a week. This park is beautiful and I’ve been coming here for years. But this time was very disappointing. The park is just seasonal and not year-round. so paying for an extra trash pick up for the short time it’s open Would be worth it.

second time I have camped here and the boat ramp was not usable again it was covered with mud.
we had to go down the road to grand pappys and pay $5.00 a day to launch the boat.
and no showers to boot. seems like they could have remodeled the showers during the off season.

Great place to camp. Since the new care takers have been there, the place has been well kept, bathrooms are clean and stocked. Landscaping is always nice and neat. We camped there once a month for two weeks at a time. Very nice and quiet place to stay. Highly recommended!

First of all the park is a very pretty park, it is divided into a few different section. The camp hosts were very nice. The sites 14 and 15 are down a VERY steep hill. I had read all of the reviews and knew ahead of time that there would probably be some ants. OH MY GOSH were there ants!!! Not a few like I had thought. THIS IS NO JOKE!!!!! BILLIONS OF ANTS!!!! AT SITE 14!!!!! We sprayed around the camper first and put out 3 different kinds of poison even DE, but let me tell you it was awful....nothing worked. I spent 3 nights and 4 days vacuuming and cleaning them out of our camper and our cars! I would definitely NEVER EVER stay here again! Please believe me when I say BILLIONS OF ANTS. Also just to say our camper is a brand new camper, not something that has had food or bugs in it before for the ants to be attracted to.
