This site felt nice and private but getting to it was tricky. It is downhill on a gravel track. The water hookup was ridiculous as it was at least 75 ft away, so we could only fill our tanks since we didn't have a hose long enough. No one followed the quiet rule after 10pm and the whole time we were there they blasted out country music. The main issue with this park is the ant problem. We learned a lesson about preparing for ants during a visit to this park. I should have read the reviews first about the ant problem. But, the views at this park are beautiful. The Verizon reception was absolutely amazing.

After I reserved and then read the reviews that were posted I was disappointed and wondered if I had failed my family wasn't looking forward to the trip but hey already had paid for both sites. Let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised and love this place, yes ants but your camping what do you expect all we did is take ant killer sprayed around our area and we were good! Beach like area and rangers made sure everything was in order! I love this place and would go again.

First of all the park is a very pretty park, it is divided into a few different section. The camp hosts were very nice. The sites 14 and 15 are down a VERY steep hill. I had read all of the reviews and knew ahead of time that there would probably be some ants. OH MY GOSH were there ants!!! Not a few like I had thought. THIS IS NO JOKE!!!!! BILLIONS OF ANTS!!!! AT SITE 14!!!!! We sprayed around the camper first and put out 3 different kinds of poison even DE, but let me tell you it was awful....nothing worked. I spent 3 nights and 4 days vacuuming and cleaning them out of our camper and our cars! I would definitely NEVER EVER stay here again! Please believe me when I say BILLIONS OF ANTS. Also just to say our camper is a brand new camper, not something that has had food or bugs in it before for the ants to be attracted to.

Great place to camp. Since the new care takers have been there, the place has been well kept, bathrooms are clean and stocked. Landscaping is always nice and neat. We camped there once a month for two weeks at a time. Very nice and quiet place to stay. Highly recommended!

second time I have camped here and the boat ramp was not usable again it was covered with mud.
we had to go down the road to grand pappys and pay $5.00 a day to launch the boat.
and no showers to boot. seems like they could have remodeled the showers during the off season.
