Nice park—clean and quite!! Only issue was ants!! They were quite plentiful—we sprayed but they still dominated!!

Preston Bend is nice. In my opinion it’s one of if not the nicest family oriented stretch of beach on lake texoma. Of course I could be partial, bc I’ve been going here for the last 20yrs almost every summer. They’ve made some nice upgrades to the place including paving some of the RV spots and changing orientation of the campsites. The gentleman that cares for the property is a great guy, he goes above and beyond to keep the place looking good! That being said we had a problem and so did our friends at 2 different campsites 300yds apart with ants. Both of us tend to keep our trailers immaculate and I’m not sure if it was previous campers disturbing the natural habitats of these ants by burning tree limbs instead of hauling in their own firewood or what the issue was. But we both brought in our firewood (per the bulletin on recreation. Gov) unfortunately we didn’t even get a chance to use it as we were overrun with tiny black ants early rhe 2nd day. They weren’t the type to sting, even if provoked. But they were annoying and got into any food that was open including our dog and cat’s food. We ending up leaving early to get the RV fumigated so that they didn’t get too carried away.
