Upon arriving at the front gate to check in - the park host lady could not have been nicer - it was our first time there and we will go back

We spent the last 4 nights (10/29-11/1/2024) here at Oak Park on Navarro Mills Lake near Corsicana, TX site #25. It’s a waterfront site with 30A and water. Not the most level site but manageable. This is a really nice park with some FHU and some
50A with water along with the 30A and water. The 50A are not reservable. The restrooms, which are private, got cleaned Monday after a busy weekend as well as the private showers. Haven’t seen anyone cleaning them but that one day. There’s plenty of shade and lots of squirrels to watch and some deer. The camp hosts are friendly, helpful and first rate. We’d definitely like to come back at some point. Although most of the campsites were flooded this last spring with the lake level 18 ft over pool the entire park does not show what could have been devastating.

Oak is one of our favorite parks. However, there were dogs running around without leashes. I had a dog come over into our site and my dog (on a leash) ran towards her and jerked me to the ground, skinning my knees. We go through great pains to make sure our dogs are properly restrained. I expect the same from other guests. The leash policy should be inforced.
