The park was clean and ready for our big group to celebrate Halloween. There was a huge rain storm on Friday, but by Saturday the sun was out and things dried up quickly. The area was recently mowed and the area was very nicely set up. We come in with about 20 campers for the kids to have a great time. Our group started this at Halloween of 2020 when no one in the world was allowed to trick or treat. Our large family decided our kids would enjoy the time outdoors. Oak Park has been our go each year since. Kids and adults love hanging at the pavilion after the kids have gone camper to camper playing games and trick or treating. All ready looking for ways to make next year better!

Clean, quite, lovely place to stay. Had an emergency hospital visit and returned at 3am and host was very nice about letting us in. Other than one gatehouse person not wanting to get up out of his chair to help us check in, all the rest of the staff was extremely courteous.

Love this place as usual. There was a storm that came through while we were there but it was still a great time. It’s a beautiful camp ground and the workers are all very welcoming.

Nice hookups and some long sites for RVs. Most of the RV pads, however, have a downward incline so you have to lower the front of the RV quite a bit.

Enjoyed our stay and will return. Disappointed that the lake level was down so no fishing from the bank. Also, no burn ban kept us from having an open fire to enjoy. Both of these were not the fault of the Park. Site #11 being a full hook up could use a shorter sewer pipe to help the dump flow. Hope that made sense. Looking forward to our return. Very beautiful park. Well kept and the gate staff are the best.

Getting There
From Waco or Corsicana, Texas, take State Highway 31 to the intersection with FM 667. Turn north on FM 667 and travel about 1.5 mi to the park entrance on the left side of the road.
Highway access
The campground is accessible via State Highway 31, which connects to other major roads in the vicinity.
Policies & Rules
Arrival & departure
- The facility operates year-round from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
- The gatehouse operates from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and campers can exit at night after 10 p.m.
- Visitor hours conclude at 10:00 p.m., while Day Use for fishing ends at sunset.
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Safety & rules
- Park Hosts are on-site 24/7 for emergencies.
- Fireworks are strictly prohibited at all times.
Vehicles & parking
- Off-road vehicles like ATVs, UTVs, and golf carts are prohibited.
- Visitors are required to use overflow parking.
Fees & deposits
- A $5 Day Use fee per vehicle is required for fishing and swimming; Day Use ends at sunset for non-registered campers.
Site types & loops
- Small pools are allowed on pavement or sand, but not on grass; slip-n-slides are not permitted.
Amenities
- Bounce houses are allowed at group shelters with a permit; contact the lake office for details.
Wildlife & food storage
- Visitors should follow steps to manage Argentine ants, including keeping food secured and sites clean.
Fires & fuel
- Fires are only allowed in designated areas; firewood must be local, and branches may be collected for use.
