Nice park, great views of the lake. Major complaint is that our “drive-thru” RV pad have a sloping pad towards the water. The auto-level on the motorcoach could not compensate therefore we couldn’t extended the slides. Other state parks we stayed at had concrete pads that made it easy to level on.

A bit lesser known than its next-door neighbor Rocky Point, but we like it better. It's smaller area (about 45 sites) makes it cozy and quiet, even on busy weekends. Beautifully wooded, level spacious sites. Very friendly staff. They'll be closing 1 Aug 2022 for some upgrades; We suspect it'll be better than ever after that. Highly recommend!

I always always camp at Piney Point during the holidays, it’s a smaller camping area with a little over 40 spots, 99% of the time everybody there is very friendly, The bathrooms in the showers are clean daily during the holiday weekends which makes it very nice,, most of the time the park host are very friendly except when I went my last visit, The park host man that’s missing his front teeth was what I consider nitpicking every little detail,, my radio on my camper goes all the way up to 30 and I was sitting outside listening to it at 11 o’clock in the afternoon and it was on 10 and he said it was too loud, which by no means it was loud at all, even after I turned it down to eight he said I need to turn it down some more and I just told him I’m turning it off and went in and shut my door on the camper,, and gave my daughter and my grandkids a very hard time when she was trying to come out and visit for a couple hours, very very uncalled for by his attitude..

Nice park with good campsites. We seen deer, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, and birds of all kinds.
Free air tv was good. We don't use the showers in the parks anywhere so we have no info on them. Staff , host and rangers take good care of the park great people. This is one of our go to parks that we enjoy.

A lot of dead trees that creates concern for my camper. Excited about the upgrades coming (resurfacing) and everything else pretty much on point. Great location, atmosphere, and never really have to worry about any rift raft or trouble makers.

Great camping area,,a little bit smaller campground with around 40+ spots but I love it like that,, every time I camp there everyone is extremely nice,,the bathrooms are cleaned daily during a holiday weekend,, they have a great hiking trail through the woods which leads to the next campground Rocky Point,, it’s about a 1 1/2 hike there and back with great sites to see..I don’t camp anywhere else..
