Staff was pleasant & helpful at check-in and upon departure. Site was well maintained, level and scenic. It was a delight to enjoy our overnight stay and we hope to return soon for a longer stay. Thank you!

Campground is beautiful but bathrooms are horrible. Men's room was never cleaned very well while we were there. The urinal doesn't flush and was nasty. People came to clean daily but did a very poor job. Shower head splashes water everywhere. There's no place to put dry clothes to keep them from getting wet without leaving everything in the common area. According to my wife, the women's room was worse. One shower didn't work at all. Toilets were disgusting. We saw one guy come to clean, and he brought a mop to the door and never took it inside. I've been to a lot of campground bath houses and this is probably the worst. We loved the campground but probably won't go back.

Clean site with a few cigarette butts other than that site was very clean.
Always a pleasure to talk to the gate host. Very friendly folks and we really like the way they have improved the look at the gate entrance. The Rangers always stop
to say hello and to say thanks for picking up trash around our site even it's just little trash. We always pick up what ever trash we find and despose of it. We try to leave a site cleaner than we find it. This is one of our favorite parks and we appreciate the opportunity to camp at Piney Point.

From Texarkana, take Highway 59 south to Wright Patman Lake. Just south of Sulphur River Dam, turn right into the park area, following signs. Proceed one mile to the park. Piney Point is just north of Rocky Point Park.
Piney Point is accessible via Highway 59, which is the main route from Texarkana to the park.
Elevation: 89 feet
11 mi drive to downtown Queen City (about 13 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- Gatehouse hours: Monday through Saturday, and Sunday. Park access gates will be left open during these hours, but will be closed outside of these times. Only campers and visitors with access codes will be allowed entrance when the gatehouse is closed.
- Campground is open seasonally between March and September.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Golf carts will be allowed to operate in the park only if the operator can display a disability placard. Permits will be issued by park rangers upon display of proper credentials. Copies of the Ft. Worth District policy on motorized vehicles are available at the gatehouse.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, and mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. Stay on designated roads and trails, and follow local guidelines for firewood. CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY boats and any other recreational equipment that contacts water.
