Rockdale RV Park

We were looking for a place to stay for a couple of days while traveling to our next stop and came across this one. It appeared to be ok until we arrived. There were two entrances, but it was a bit confusing due to the lack of signs. Once we pulled in, I went to the office which was open, but no one was present so I called the office number, and a lady told me she would have someone meet me. I had to drive around to the other side where the pull throughs are located. It had been raining a lot and there were some very big potholes filled with water. These pot hose have been present for a while due to the size of them. After navigating through all the potholes, we made it to our site. It was a good size pull through. Looking around it appears that many spots are taken up by people that live and work in the area. We stayed due to their no refund policy, but I would avoid this location in the future and so should youi.

3/1/26 CALLED RESERVATIONS FOR ROCKDALE RV PARK WHO ADVERTISES MONTHLY RENT FOR $430 MONTHLY WITH NO MENTION OF PAYING ELECTRIC COSTS OR A DEPOSIT SO SOUNDS FAIR FOR LOT OF GRAVEL & DIRT AND COUNTRY SETTING AWAY FROM LARGER TOWNS....YET MAN WHO ANSWERS PHONE SAYS RENT IS $450 MONTH + ELECTRICITY AND $100 DEPOSIT. SO BE CAREFUL TO WHAT IS ADVERTISED ON INTERNET AND LEASE TERMS OF ALL COSTS FOR STAY.

I did not like their cancellation policy. Thankfully we did not have to cancel. But sometimes life happens. The guy at check in was helpful and nice but seemed a little “lost”. Probably wasn’t the main check in person. Showed us to our spot. The front lot t is messy and overcrowded. People do live their long term but there’s no up keep. The back lot had less tenants but a lot of trailers looked run down. The one next to us kept making loud noise (maybe a/c?). Thank goodness it left next day. For the most part, it was quiet in the back lot. No parties or kids running around. Then there’s the TRAIN! 😳 all hours of the night blowing the horn non stop! This was the worst part of it! Would probably never stay here again because of it.

This was one of the best RV parks we stayed at. Nice and well maintained. The scenery was amazing, full of big trees to keep your RV shaded during the hot summer. The manager, John is an awesome, friendly guy. Was always accountable and very helpful. The host, Chris was also very helpful and nice. If I'm in this area again, we will definitely be staying here.
