Great place. Quiet and beautiful. Only reason it wasn't excellent was that the park didn't have the water spigots working at the horse corrals. Had to use a bucket to fill up his water from down the way. Took awhile.

Our first time at big bend and we loved it! This spot was perfect for our family and the views were great! Neighbors didn’t feel too close to us.

Immaculate campground and excellent amenities. Spectacular views of the sunset over the west ridge of McKittrick. No bugs either, and dead silent. Scenic drive to the campground as well!

Very secluded location. Campsites are a bit close but no closer than most other sites. Didn't expect flush toilets and drinking fountain/bottle filler and wash sink so that was a bonus.

We loved our stay here! The campsite was well maintained and beautiful. We visited in July and there was literally NO ONE here so we had the whole place to ourselves for 48 hours. For those hoping for company or support, this would not be the best site. But since we wanted some peace and quiet and did not need any support, it was perfect.
Beautiful short and long hikes from the area. We saw wildflowers, flowering cacti, deer, butterflies, one skunk (who minded his business), and one rattlesnake in the road on the drive out.
Note: The reservation said that wifi was available at the ranger station, but the network appeared to be down so don't rely on that.

Remote campground with great access to trails in the area. Very peaceful with great views of the night sky.
