What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Nice COE park with great camp hosts, lots of deer and bald eagles. Some area's are closed to due previous flooding.
Dog hazards: Burrs along the roads and various places in the grass, and the pavement in our loop was so rough it hurt our dogs paws.
Be aware the camp hosts are typically available at the gate from 2-4pm (check in 3pm), so if arriving early you may not be able to get in and find the gate locked.

This was our first visit to this park and we really liked our site #80 - it was a huge site with lots of room between the next site(s). It was very easy to back into the site and get set up - very level side to side!!! We had several beautiful cloud-free nights to enjoy the stars and campfires. We will be returning to this park.
It is not your fault - but I sure wish the previous campers had policed the site - I picked up so many cigarette butts, bottle caps and other small trash items.

Was cold most of the week. We had some tv and good phone reception. Very quite this time of year but we enjoyed that.

Great park. We had site 52 and it was almost surrounded by water. Hosts were super friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

We always enjoy Somerville. It is a lovely facility. Enjoy the many deer who roam the park, the raccoon who crawls into the garbage can and is quite content to stay there until the host gets a board to help them out, then they get back into another one. Since the boat ramp was closed we appreciated having the backup boat ramp open and available for fishing. Love the many trails. They are peaceful and serene to walk thru. Enjoyed our stay.

If you come into your park with a big trailer like our 43 foot toy hauler there are a few branches that are issues and very tight getting in and out of the dump station other than that we loved it

Most favorite corp of engineer part this far and we've stayed in many. Massive deer in the area. One night hundreds of pelicans swam up the river. Our site number 6 had a beautiful view.

Had a great 3 night stay in site #60, right on the lake! Sites were well spaced and level. Only part of the sites were open in February, not sure if that is winter policy or permanent.
