What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Stayed in site 177 and was pretty good spot with beautiful sunsets and close to the lake. Fishing was good and found a spot to get in without sliping on pavers. Restrooms were maintained and had a roomy shower. Wished the site had been mowed, neighbor said same thing. Will consider going back sometime.

Grass was tall with cockaburs around the campsites. Need to cut the grass.
Also tall weeds near shore make boat docking limited.
Boat ramps were closed, had to put boat in at next park.

The park is very peaceful. It was mid summer and hot so we sought a shaded spot and were able to find one from the online pictures. The lake was up and easily accessible. Lake Somerville is big and we understand the fishing is great! We kayaked and floated. Enjoyable stay.

Overall, a very good experience at Rocky Creek Park The bathroom we used was kept in good condition. Our campsite was well maintained except for the large amount of ant mounds. Make sure you bring something to take care of those fire ants. The park employees went above and beyond to help me locate my lost phone. We will definitely camp again at this park.

Beautiful lake and park, always enjoy camping. Water was high from rain this June and July which caused swimming and boating banks to be littered with weeds, floating trees and wood debris. Trails and bathrooms are well kept. Still would like to see more trees being planted to replace ones being cut down.
