What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Can not check in early. We got there an hour early and had to go down the street and wait an hour before we could get in.

Nice and peaceful campsite. Caution if you have dogs: there are a lot of burrs in the grass.

Easy to make reservations. Upon arrival we met the camp host who was very personable. He explained everything we needed to know about the campground and pointed us to his camp site if we had any problems. The campground was well maintained including the grounds and bath house. Our campsite was the best in the campground for shade and very level. Utilities were in close proximity to the site. Bath house was a very short walk from the site. Campground was very peaceful and other campers controlled their pets and picked up after them. Also lots of wildlife, especially deer. We will consider this campground when in the area.

Overall camping area in very good condition. Lot 66 is large & flat, no shade if that is something you want. Entry staff very friendly & helpful. Would recommend this area & will camp here again.

Great camp grounds. Just be mindful that there are quite a bit of ant mounds and those sticker weeds around (especially by the lakefront campsites 173-174 sites). Restrooms could use some more cleaning, but overall satisfactory. All the volunteers we encountered were fantastic!

Very nice stay! Camp Host Tom and his wife went above expectations! They assisted us in many ways. Very well kept camp grounds! Biking and hiking trails are well maintained and really fun! Trails are private and very shady. Great stay!!

Very nice park with helpful staff. Deer are everywhere and the views from our location in the evenings were beautiful. Sunset over the water. Park was in winter mode and boat ramp was closed for the winter and office only open between 2-4 pm for check in. Make sure you have your email for the gate combo if not arriving between 2-4 pm. Be prepared for ants and grassburs. We will be returning to enjoy the park and lake soon.
