What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

The location is fantastic, but I would have loved if people would not use very bright white lights and flood lights after a certain hour. It really ruins our sleep as well as the visual adaptation to see the beautiful night skies out there. Also I was told not to turn on any fire and then realized that everybody around me had a camp fire on. The rules should be rules for everyone and need to be enforced.

Location was very well maintained. Restrooms were clean. Sites were far apart. One review recommended eating at Mama's kitchen, Somerville. We had an excellent lunch there. We also stopped at Blue Bell Creamery, Brenham. Ice cream was one dollar a cup.

It's our annual tradition to camp out the week after thanksgiving. For 5 years now we've had the pleasure of visiting Rocky creek. It's always beautiful, calm and relaxing to be out there. The facilities are always great and as it continues to grow around the town, more stores are available in case you forget something. I look forward to being back next year.
