What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Loved this campground. Beautiful lake, the wind off the lake made sitting outside pleasant all week. Site 132 was clean, mostly level and conveniently located to bathrooms and such.
Only issue is the the policy not allowing you to enter park early on day of arrival, site was empty but still not allowed in. Not a big deal but did mean a trip back into town for a couple of hours. Was wanting to get set up before the heat got unbearable.

Everything was nice. Bathrooms clean, other guests well behaved. No complaints other than the incessant and strong wind over 6 days.

A bit nicer than nearby Yegua, grassier, but both are great.

Been a while since we camped here. Used to camp here a lot. Wasn't sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the park. They have a history of poor management, like not taking reservations for months and months (maybe over a year) because a crew to do renovation work "could show up any day".
One section of the park is closed and is in disrepair, but all of the open facilities were in outstanding shape and park personnel were nothing but friendly. Bathrooms were clean and modern.

Site #56, right on the water. Only one side with tree aka shade but another has been planted but it'll take a few years! Easy access to water for swimming/noodling. None of the weeds found at other lakes. Sites are a little too close together for my absolute comfort but the view and water access more than make up for it! One of our favorites!

Our trip would have been better if the wind hadn’t been blowing 30mph. Of course that is no fault of the park. Sites were clean and level.

Very nice park - good park host - would be nice if there were sewer hook ups
