What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Rocky Creek Park has been a family favorite for decades and our visit at the end of the summer did not disappoint. The park was beautifully kept. Despite it being busy for the holiday weekend, it was quiet. This is a great family park and though we are now empty nesters we enjoy meeting our adult children and their children to continue the tradition.

I love this park but the stickers were terrible. We could not walk on the grass at all. Tons of ants also got into out trailer. Other than that we love the park. We were in site #45

Tent camping with elec, water, picnic table, fire ring and grill. Hot showers close by. Deer everywhere.

Lot 61 is on the water just set back a little. Not much shade. As the sun drops southerly, there is more shade when it is cooler.

Lot 71 is very shaded and is between the lake and bathrooms. Nice view of the lake.

We love the park but the stickers were a real turnoff.

This was our first visit to Rocky Creek and we were not disappointed. We were on site 53, right on the water and with white sand (?) beach that was easy to walk and explore. Most sections of the park were empty and there were only a few campers in our section, so it was a very quiet and relaxing stay. There are 5+ miles of trails to walk/run around the park. Sites are spacious and most are fairly level with picnic tables and fire rings (although there is a burn ban presently). Wind off the lake can be high, so watch your awnings!
