What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Nice well kept large spaces. Only complaint would be the way the sites are numbered. Confusing so check the electric box to make sure you are in the correct space.

Very clean well kept park, clean restrooms. Easy to get around in a 40’ motor. Beautiful park, lots of large oaks with Spanish Moss hanging from the branches.

Bathrooms not the greatest. Very little staff presence. Pretty much self guided. Beautiful park, lots of deer. No people

The site was too close to the one in front of us. No privacy. There was a hole in the driveway that was in a dangerous area. We put a cooler over the hole to keep from twisting our ankle. Steep hills going down to the waterfront. Lake was great!

We have been going to Rocky Creek for years and really enjoy the lake. However it seems to get worse every year as far as quality of the parks. Getting rid of full time gate attendants was a horrible idea. Having to get out and open and close a gate with a combination lock is a super cheap and inconvenient way to enter a park. I have never been to another park that didnt have a keypad or gate attendant. When the gate attendants were there they were really nice and friendly. The grass needed to be mowed everywhere and there were alot of stickers which made walking our dog a big hassle. Half the park and the main boat ramp are still closed from flooding from years ago. Our site was clean, level and had great water and 50amp electrical. Its sad to see year after year the lake get worse and worse when it has so much potential.
