Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

The wildlife is fantastic, many deer, rabbits, saw an armadillo with it's baby,a non venomous snake crossing the road, and 4 little piglets during our last stay. RV site was great, very quiet at night. Unfortunately the boat ramp was closed do to high water so we had launch from Yegua Creek Park. We beached our pontoon boat after each use and tied it off on the shoreline each night which worked out great. The only unpleasant part was the sticker burrs that attached to our socks when walking through the grass to and from the boat. They mowed the day we were leaving which would have reduced that issue. The price is very reasonable for sites with water, electricity and two dump station in the park. We visited as a guest our first time and have since stayed there 2 more times within the past two months.

VERY CLEAN. Park rangers available if needed. Grass was mowed. Bathhouse was tidy and clean. Seen a few deer.
Only thing is I wish they would trim the banks of the lake a little more. Lotsa shrubbery and weeds make access limited.

Go there all the time. One of the best campgrounds around. Friendly people clean bath houses and well kept grounds. Will continue to frequent this place

Nice clean park.
I’ve used the showers at other corp parks and this one is by far the best.
I liked the site I picked and saw plenty of others I’d be happy with. Even the fire pit was cleaned out. The grass was mowed while we were there, so I can’t complain about tall grass.

The camp site is well maintained and clean. The only issue I had was a snake that would not leave our area...a raccoon tried to get into our tent. Other than all the wildlife LOL we had a fantastic time will definitely be back.
