What Guests Are Saying
Rocky Creek Park at Lake Somerville is a well-maintained campground featuring beautiful lake views from every site, spacious areas for camping, and a peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The staff is friendly and the facilities, including the RV dump station, are well-kept, making it a great destination for nature lovers. While some visitors noted issues with the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the presence of sticker burrs, the overall experience is highly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Beautiful campground, big sites. The problem with this place is the bath/shower house. It's an open/screened gable on the ends and as a result is spider and egg sac infested worse than any place I've seen, and I grew up on a farm. The least they could do is power wash a few times a year, then maybe find a safe for people treatment to keep them at bay somewhat. The same at Yegua creek down the road. Who ever designed these is definitely not a camper. They are disgusting!

It was a nice campground and our site had a beautiful view. Very peaceful minus the dogs that were behind us not being leashed. Cant wait to go again.

Site 88 was clean, neat, long and level. Was very easy in and out. The RV dump station was well kept. All the deer were a bonus.

We stayed here for two nights during the Round Top Spring event. Convenient drive in to the event. Bathrooms were adequate but full of spiders, and a bit outdated. Showers were hot. Cleanliness was not great. The camp site (RV) was easy access and deep. However the last night a small group showed up behind us to tent camp, and ended up being more of a party spot. While my AC inside my van was loud and drowned out the noise, my neighbor to the side asked if it bothered me, and said that group were outside playing music till 2pm. The next morning while outside drinking our coffee, they were up at it again, playing music, at times very loud. We were pulling out so I didn't complain, but I would think there should be a park ranger patrolling to stop such behavior.

Love camping here. This time, there was a Killdeer bird that laid it's above ground nest directly in the driveway at our campsite. We enjoyed having nature unfolding during our stay and watching the momma and daddy birds taking turns sitting on the nest until they hatched. Unfortunately the morning we left they had already hatched (in the middle of night maybe?) and we missed that part. Would've loved to have witnessed such a sight! This park is so full of wildlife and we always have such a blast when visiting.

The camp site is clean and enough distance between each one which promotes privacy.
