Overall I love camping here. We had very loud neighbors that kept us up until 2:30am. No quiet hours were enforced. We also packed up early due to cold weather coming in and the bathrooms being closed. We lost a whole night due to the restrooms being closed.

Great site! Pretty quiet when we were there (Christmas week). Loved the trail and walked it many times. Shower relatively clean, but great water pressure!

Camp host was great. The campsites were good and the single trail was short but nice. Campground was clean. The bathrooms were okay, not heated, and the shower was hot. Not bad at all.

The inability to register on site is untenable. At many places phone and internet access over cellular systems is unreliable. The campground was nearly empty, but we were turned away and told we needed to drive to a location where cell service is available.

From Austin, Texas, take US 290 east to Brenham. Follow HWY 36 north 11.5 miles to FM 1948. Turn left and follow FM 1948 2.5 miles. Turn right into park complex, following campground signs.
