We did not have a good experience. The park is not well kept overall. The bathrooms are very dark, not enough light day or night. There was a lot of drinking and loud music well into the early hours of the morning. We won’t be back.

PRO: Sites 60-83 are the best if you want to be by the water. Also more space between. Has 1 walking trail and a day use that is like a beach with sand. Good fishing by the day use. Each site also has firepit.. Close drive to lake Sommerville State Park. The lower sites have more trees, but are closer together and not facing the lake. Small park so everything is walking distance.
Cons: Lots of sticker burrs. Couldn't walk on the grass without shoes and even with shoes, the burrs would get caught in the bottom of our shoes and we would track them in. Dogs couldn't walk in grass. Also the bathrooms where very nasty. Not clean, over flowing garbage can and half where out of order. Nasty. Also if you. So if you , are a fan of trees, you have to sacrifice trees for water. Out site #63 was big , spacious and
water view but not one tree. So if you go June-August, be prepared to take a tarp and run A/C hard.

Needed more location for trash container. Perhaps they hadn't been placed yet for the season? Thanks for the awesome views.

This was our first time staying at Yegua Creek. It was just overnight, but we plan to stay there again.
It was great being able to fish from the shore of our space.

Great place. A bit out of the way so pack in everything you need. Friendly hosts.

We only spent 2 nights at this location. It was perfect for our needs. It was relatively quiet as it was early spring. The view was beautiful and we enjoyed walking the full campground several times.
