What Guests Are Saying
Love's RV Hookup in Van, TX offers convenient access to I-20 and has a nice paved parking lot with good water pressure and simple online check-in. While some sites, particularly Site 3, are poorly pitched and challenging to level, Site 1 is adequately level for larger rigs. The staff is noted for their helpfulness, especially in addressing issues with amenities, though there are concerns about signage and the functionality of the dump station.

Nice paved parking lot. Sight 3 is not level. It took all the blocks we have to get close. Signage is POOR! Look for the small "Entrance" sign just before the hotel. It says nothing about it being the RV Entrance but it is.

Nice level pull through. It was plenty long enough for our 40 ft fifth wheel and truck. We stayed in spot #1. Water pressure was good. Check in process was simple online. We didn't really notice much noise from the trucks in and out but the birds were loud. There are several fast food places to grab a bite eat if you want also.

I was here in late November 2025. This commentary addresses only the Love's RV Hook Up, not any other aspect of the truck stop.
Utilities, consisting of water and electricity, were fine. We got connected without any problems. They even give you a little patch of grass and a picnic table.
The biggest problem is the people that designed the layout apparently knew nothing about RV's. The pull through sites were really long but - they were PITCHED. BADLY pitched. My passenger side was down almost three degrees, and the nose was down steeply too. I was able to eventually get my rig side-to-side level by putting enough cribbing under my passenger side trailer wheels that I should get an honorable Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. I cranked my trailer jack to get the nose way up, and with all that my trailer was mostly level.
They went to all this trouble to lay out (huge!) nice concrete pads and provide them with utilities but didn't bother to level them? what the heck?
There is a dump station on-site but it's one of those where the drain inlet is on a tall riser inside a concrete walled fort built into a curb, so it's a real challenge to get your wastewater to run into it. You would think that everyone knows by now which way the poop flows, but evidently not. It's also on a slope, which kinda helps because you can park your rig uphill from it a little bit to help with the tall riser. Of course, this may also mean your tanks won't drain completely. It was locked with a combination padlock, which would not open with the combo we got with the confirmation email. I buttonholed a nearby Love's person who was working on the gas pumps, who was extremely nice and helpful. She explained that the combo we had been issued was out of date, and had been so for months. She got down on her hands and knees inside the wet "fort" and fooled with the lock to get it open for us. It must have taken her a good 5 minutes in cold weather. She had a fantastic attitude and was the only redeeming part of the experience. I don't know what she gets paid, but I doubt it's enough.
I cannot recommend this as an overnight. It's convenient to I20 & Dallas but try to find someplace else. Unless you like rolling unexpectedly out of bed and ruining up your frig. Or starting work towards your BS in CE.

Very convenient as far as in and out. We had site 1. It was fairly level. Site 3 is not level. Utilities worked well. Noisy from trucks coming and going but not too bad. Will use again.

We have stayed at Loves RV Stops before and they were great. This one is terrible. Lot 3 slopes so bad it was hard to get the rv level. The water pressure is so low that we couldn’t even flush our toilet. Then we couldn’t get the power on. They have to turn it on inside, but no one knew how. They said they were not trained on this new camping program. I had to call another Loves RV Stop and ask them to call this manager and explain how to turn it on so we could have power. Definitely not worth $50.
