Peaceful, luxurious retreat- a little piece of Heaven here on Earth- where every single detail was thought of: in room music through Alexa, acoustic guitar, s'mores kit for the private fire pit, private heated pool, private outdoor bubble bathtub under the stars, luxury bedding that enveloped you like a marshmallow, espresso machine, eucalyptus spray for the shower, outdoor grill, indoor mini fridge/ kitchenette, bath towels, pool towels, deck towels, softest bath robes, and so many more. We felt so pampered in this beautifully decorated luxury retreat! We now have a love for a new type of camping!! Thank you for being so intentional with all the amenities. The management is thoughtful, intentional, attentive, caring and easy to work with- even asking if we wanted the pool heated. The common pavilion on the grounds was relaxing, beautiful, complete with a sauna and ginormous hot tub! The sunset was SPECTACULAR! We felt so blessed to have found this gem of a retreat! Wished we could have stayed longer and can't wait to come back!!

Absolutely loved the peace and serenity of this place. It was wonderful to step away from life for a moment and just enjoy the Texas Hill Country. The sunset views are beautiful and the starry sky is stunning. I’ve never gone glamping before and Spoon Mountain has set the standard. An hour after we checked out, my husband realized he forgot his phone and we were able to locate it still in our tent. Everyone was extremely helpful in finding the phone and having it shipped to us! My husband and I are already planning a return trip.

If I could give more stars I would! I didn't take many photos. I unplugged from my phone and just enjoyed the experience! The pictures are spot on! The private back porch was amazing! The heated pool during the day and the fire pit at night! Luxury bedding! Every detail was thought out! The smell inside was the most wonderful relaxing scent! It was a wonderful 40th anniversary trip! Romantic to say the least. Loved every minute ❤️

We spent the weekend here for my husband's birthday and I could not ask for a better getaway! The property was phenomenal, our tent was wonderful, and the pool that was just for us was the cherry on top of it all. The details that weny into it to make it homey is just fabulous. I did add on the celebration package which was perfect. We also did a couple's massage that was excellent.

The Shaka Tent at Spoon Mountain Glamping!
My recent stay at Spoon Mountain Glamping in Wimberly, Texas, was truly magical—a genuine 5-star experience we wish could have lasted forever. Specifically, the Shaka tent provided the most breathtaking and intimate retreat we could have imagined.
From the moment we arrived, we were charmed. The tent was sparkling clean, setting the tone for a luxurious and worry-free stay. To celebrate our 14th anniversary, Ken & the Spoon Mountain Glamping team had gone above and beyond, greeting us with a delicious carrot cake, sweet autumn flowers, and chilled prosecco! That level of personalized care truly made us feel special.
The ambiance was perfectly romantic and tranquil. The king-sized bed was ridiculously comfy—sleeping under the canvas roof felt like the coziest escape imaginable and what an experience in a thunderstorm. Outside, the fire pit setup was perfection, especially paired with the plush outdoor couch. We spent hours relaxing under the stars.
However, the true highlight—and perhaps the most underrated feature of this entire spot—was the outdoor soaking bathtub. Taking a hot bath under the expansive Texas Hill Country sky, with the crisp autumn air around us, was my absolute favorite thing to do.
