What Guests Are Saying
North Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience amidst stunning scenery and tall trees, making it a favorite among visitors. The facilities are well-maintained, with clean bathrooms, hot water, and good access to hiking trails and the visitor center. While some sites may not be completely level and the reservation process could be clearer, the overall atmosphere and thoughtful hosts contribute to an enjoyable stay.

Be sure to drive to inspiration point to watch the sunset and gaze at the night sky. Bring chairs.

The campground was very nice. The campsites are a good size and you aren’t right on top of the people around you. The picnic tables are very nice. The bathrooms were okay. There was only one sink in the bathroom which got a little crowded in the evening and morning. They also don’t keep any soap in the bathroom, so you’d have to bring that with you. Overall, the campground was very nice!

Location is excellent! Site itself (4) and those on that road, all very unlevel and difficult for longer rigs. I managed to get close enough, but only 32’. They are sticklers on gene time, came & told me at 801p to shut it down! (Which i was about to do). Great bike paths, wish they want all along the main road. Walk across to shuttle, close to trails, lodge, general store. Dump is a little out of the way, but fine.

Site 86 is located in the corner and very close to 3 other sites. When sitting at the picnic table you have a great view of your neighbors and whatever they are doing. There are flush toilets near by and a pay shower ($3 for 8 minutes) at the general store. Staying in the park is nice but I prefer camp sites that are more isolated and private. This was the only site available when we booked and the campground is generally fully booked so make your reservations early!

I had to cross a ditch to back my car into site 90. This needs to be remedied. Sites could use a tent pad because of the lack of a flat spot at most and a gravel surface.

Awesome campground. By far the cleanest (heated!) bathrooms that I’ve ever seen at a campground which was a huge plus. Very close to the general store which was great! The only two downsides were-
1. Our entire site was at a significant slant
2. There is ONE dumpster area at the entrance for the campground (which was very far from our site)

Good site in the trees. Fantastic wash up station at the toilets with really hot water. The rim edge to look into the Canyon is walking distance but not close to the main Canyon walks. Good shuttle with very informative and helpful drivers.
