What Guests Are Saying
North Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience amidst stunning scenery and tall trees, making it a favorite among visitors. The facilities are well-maintained, with clean bathrooms, hot water, and good access to hiking trails and the visitor center. While some sites may not be completely level and the reservation process could be clearer, the overall atmosphere and thoughtful hosts contribute to an enjoyable stay.

Nice campground, not right on top of next site, some shade available, trails accessed nearby. They are doing a revegetation project so you can't access the rim directly from the site but the trail is very close.

Site D106 was wonderful, with lots of space and privacy. Perfect for tent camping - we had two small tents. Previously we were in D101, which was fine but too close to other campsites. In the evening the three nearest groups had campfires, so no matter which way the air blew we were breathing heavy smoke.
North campground was super convenient for hiking, as we could walk to the trails instead of dealing with parking. Plus after the hike we could stop back for lunch. It was also a short walk to the general store for cold drinks and showers. Highly recommend north campground and site D106.

wonderful place! we arrived after the official opening times, but our name was on a plate at our side number - everything easy to find - no problems - good service!

Beautiful spot. Tucked back! There’s a trail right next to it so expect hikers to walk by. Stars were amazing.

We stayed in the North Campground site 93. We stayed at several campgrounds on our trip this summer and Bryce's were the most cramped. They weren't bad, just not as spacious as other campgrounds. This site in particular was on a slight slope, not a deal breaker, just FYI. Very close to the bathrooms and water pump. FYI- there is no soap in ANY of the campground bathrooms, no hand dryers, no paper towels. The bathrooms were clean. The campground was pretty close to the camp store. The camp store had anything you might need while camping. We might have ridden our bikes there (and more often in general), but the weather was not great- rainy and verge of thunderstorms the 2 nights we were there. Because of the weather I don't think I can give the campground a fair shake, but I'll try. I think the kids would have biked a lot more if the weather was better. I think we could have biked/walked to the shuttle stop the day we were there.
We did take the shuttle to view the overlooks once the bad weather moved out. Later we drove up to Yovimpa Point, which was really beautiful. There is a loop trail there, but most of our party didn't want to hike- it looked like a neat little trail though. We stopped and had pizza at Valhalla Pizza near the lodge (which is pretty cool- especially the roof!). The pizza was really good or we were especially hungry!
The day we left the weather was beautiful so we hiked Queen's Garden/Navajo Loop. Great hike! We were so glad we got to hike and see the hoodoos up close. We wanted to stop and hike the Mossy Cave Trail, but there was zero parking available (we left on a Saturday). Hopefully we can come back and do Bryce and Zion again. I don't know that we'd stay in the same campsite, but the campground itself was convenient. It was nice to park you car at your campsite and then bike/walk/shuttle. Parking throughout the park that Saturday morning was nuts.

It is so nice to have a spot in one of the campgrounds inside the park. There is not a lot of space in the site, but enough. This site was close to the bathroom which was nice, also a close walk to the river. It had a nice view and a big parking area that would easily fit two cars. Close walk to Happy Isles, the Mirror Lake trailhead, and the Mist Trail.

the campground itself is very nice and quiet. Our particular site (#59) was in a very strange spot, and was almost slanted into the ground. It was a very weird spot. There was also no soap in the bathroom, which we found odd. The campground did have lots of gnats, but it was very close proximity to the rim trail.
