Great campground! Sites are relatively well spaced, campground was quiet, and the facilities were clean. I was able to walk from the campground to the paved bike path and from there, to the rim trail. Only stayed one night. Would definitely stay again.

I reserved a campsite at Sunset Campground in Bryce Canyon National Park. When we arrived, our reservation slip was posted at the proper campsite I reserved for two nights, so we parked and proceeded to set up camp. On the way in, I noticed that many of the tent campsites had level tent pads constructed as the place to set up your tent. Our designated site did not have a constructed tent pad and just had dirt and mostly unlevel areas near the parking space, picnic table and the fire pit. Further away from parking and table, there was a level bare spot just large enough to hold a medium size tent. There had obviously been another tent there previously, so I set up my tent there. There were a couple of signs to the left and right asking not to disturb the vegetation, and I did not set up my tent where the signs were. After setting up my tent and spending the first night there, on the second afternoon the campground hosts told me that my tent was set up in violation of the signs asking campers not to disturb the vegetation and that I would have to move my tent. In my opinion, the signs did not indicate that I set my tent in the wrong place. Again, there was no obvious or constructed flat pad to place my tent as had been provided in other sites. So, after being tired from 10 mi of hiking around Bryce Canyon, I was looking forward to relaxing at the campsite. Instead, and in order to avoid conflict with the camp hosts, I removed all my gear from the tent and took down the tent and moved it to an unlevel spot near the parking space. I did not appreciate having to do this because the campsite did not provide clear signage or a designated place to set up a tent. Not only that, but I had already spent one night on the original site, so one more night was not going to do further damage. Sorry, but this was just some kind of power trip by the camp hosts to add inconvenience to my vacation. This request was rude and unnecessary in my opinion.

Lots of tall pines, but little shade on our site. Tons of small black beetle flea like bugs-n harmless but annoying. Plenty of space in campsite and luckily we could still have a campfire at night. Table was a good distance from our Cybertruck tent, that was nice, because it allowed us plenty of room to go in and out of the tent. Bathroom was a bit of a distance away with no lit trail- got super dark. Worse was that someone kept smoking in the women’s bathroom- it was choking to smell. Either that or the janitor was in his room smoking. It was awful! The area was quiet, except during generator hours and our neighbor using theirs. Nice walkable areas and can take a shuttle bus to all the sites. Potable water near the restrooms, that was appreciated too. Staff was helpful and nice. Perk was the dishwashing closet with nice sized sink and countertop to dry dishes on. Overall, coming from Zion the night before, our expectations were set too high. Campground was similar to all other national parks in general, whereas it would have been cool to camp near the canyon sites. But I don’t think they are that close.
