Sunset Campground offers a beautiful and quiet setting within Bryce Canyon National Park, with clean and well-maintained bathrooms and spacious campsites surrounded by trees. Its convenient location allows easy access to hiking trails and scenic viewpoints, enhancing the camping experience. While some sites may be too small for larger RVs and cell service is limited, the overall atmosphere and amenities make it a highly recommended destination for nature lovers.

The bathrooms were absolutely wonderful, with tiled floors and flush toilets, electrical outlets, wheelchair accessible, and even a separate small room for washing dishes. Very clean and cool in July! The campsite was spacious with a generous number of picnic tables. Running water tap provided needed refills for all our hiking water, cool and delicious tasting. Campsite is within walking distance from Sunset Point and shuttle stops going both directions. Ideal for family reunions!!!

Facilities were well kept and clean. The campsites were pretty shady and rock free spaces for tents.

Great campground. Bathrooms very clean. Though, campground was sold-out, there were a lot of no-shows (probably the heat). The weather was pleasant enough and there is a lot of shade. Popular hiking trails and scenic vistas only a short drive away (or walk). Looking forward to coming back and exploring more of the park.

Very nice campground but beware!...the space you have to park your rig AND your tow vehicle is ridiculously small. Really poor planning. It wouldn't have been a big deal to either lengthen or widen the spaces when it was built. Use of generators during the day is very limited so if you'll be at your campsite b/t 10am and 6pm, and the temp is 80 or more, you may be pretty uncomfortable.

It was clean, open and well laid out. My grandson and I absolutely loved it! Our location could not have been better. A walking distance from the Sunset Point and the shuttle. Keep up the good work. Thanks for the memories.

The campground is nice and quiet. I like that they limit the hours people can use generators. The only problem I see is that most of the pads in the RV sites are not level so you have to Jack up one end of your rig quite a bit. Also, the two sites reserved for people with disabilities were unoccupied on a week when sites were in high demand. Seems like these sites should be made available if nobody reserves them by the day before.

We have camped at loop A in Sunset campground, Bryce Canyon National Park for 50 plus summers and this was by far the worse experience we ever had. The work done during the summer of 2020 to “improve” the campsites on loop A did not improve the sites. Although the sites are now blacktopped rather than gravel, many are too short to accommodate todays’ RVs and accessing many sites is exceedingly difficult because of the sharp angle needed to back an RV into the site and the number of trees left standing at the front part of the sites. The sites for RVs in loop A need to be enlarged. These sites were most likely built in the 1950s and 1960s (or earlier) to accommodate tent trailers and small RVs. The size of RVs used today by most campers are much larger than those built in the 1950s and 1960s. Every night we were camped at Sunset campground there were several empty sites. Although the campground was “full” according to the sign posted on the road, this was not the case. Perhaps if a site is not filled by a certain time, it should be opened, and other campers allowed to use it. We rarely saw park rangers drive through the campground. In past years, park rangers drove through the campground several times a day. The group site in loop A of Sunset Campground was empty almost every day. We tried to reserve the group site in January for our visit in June-July but were told it was already reserved on the recreation.gov website. That did not seem to be the case. The recreation.gov website needs to be updated and made more user friendly. In addition, campground hosts need to be able to access the web site, so they know if a reservation has been cancelled or changed. When we talked to a campground host about the website, that person could not access the website nor help us in knowing if a reservation had been cancelled after initially being made.
