If Google allowed more than five stars, Amangiri would deserve them all. This place is not just a resort — it’s an experience that feels almost otherworldly.

Set in the middle of the vast Utah desert, the surroundings are simply breathtaking. The dramatic rock formations, endless open skies, and peaceful silence create a sense of beauty and calm that’s hard to describe. There are several scenic trails around the property, allowing you to explore the landscape and truly connect with the raw beauty of nature.

The service here is exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely dedicated to making the stay perfect without ever feeling intrusive.

Dining was another highlight. Both restaurants offer excellent food with thoughtful menus and beautifully presented dishes that complement the atmosphere of the resort.

The spa experience was fantastic — the therapists are clearly very skilled and experienced, making the treatments deeply relaxing and restorative. The gym is also well equipped and thoughtfully designed for guests who want to stay active.

And the rooms… absolutely stunning. Huge, spacious, and beautifully designed with a minimalist elegance that blends perfectly with the desert surroundings. The bathtub is wonderful, the amenities are top-notch, and the complimentary minibar is a lovely touch.

Amangiri is truly one of those rare places that feels unforgettable from the moment you arrive. A destination that perfectly blends luxury, nature, and serenity.

An extraordinary stay that easily deserves more than five stars.

This was our second stay at Amangiri, our first being back in 2018. It was just as spectacular as I remembered it being. Our first stay was in May and we loved doing the via ferrata and getting the transcendental four hands massage at the spa. This time we stayed in December so it was too chilly for outdoor activities but the resort was sooooo cozy with all of the wood burning fireplaces crackling and the spa is incredible no matter the outdoor temperature. Impeccable service and delicious food rounded out our stay. Hopefully it won’t be another 8 years between visits!

Our family of four had the privilege of spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Amangiri in a 2-BR pavilion at Camp Sarika. Under the leadership of Mario and Sergio, the staff seems to have tried to fix some of the down experiences certain guests have experienced. This is our little window on how things went by our eyes. Given the coverage on this place on YouTube, TV and other social media, I'll be more specific and current.

We might one on of the most food-critical family vacationers, and I'm happy to say that we found the flavors in all meals and types of menus (Christmas dinner, spirit of the journey, and regular meal menus) to be vibrant and diverse for an international luxury clientele. No, not everything was delicious or well executed, but the inclusion of rarely scene classic icons, at least in the US, like lobster thermidor for breakfast and beef wellington for dinner made us smile in delight, both by its presence at our table and by the level of execution. Never expected that! Also lots of duck dishes for whatever reason. The mocktails and cocktails were also of the highest quality and well conceived with local flavor inspiration.

The pavilion was nice for this class and as a two-bedroom "villa-like" accommodation. However, as someone else has mentioned, that mattress set-up needs some work. Lumpy indeed. Otherwise, still world class accommodation.

Setting apart a few minor stumbles in service, such as incorrect orders coming to our table or incorrect delivery of food to our pavilion, the service level is top notch. Yes, the expectation should be no errors whatsoever, but when we have a 10yr old autistic son, we tend to give credit to resort staffs' response to his presence. On that front, Amangiri's performance deserves credit. When possible, we were seated away from other guests for everyone's benefit, and we noticed on one night that someone had blown out the candle on our private table at the Camp Sarika restaurant just before we arrived. I have to think this was intentional, because autistic children either play with or blow out the candles, and all other candles in the restaurant remained lit.

As you know from other reviews and other media, it goes without saying that the reason you come here is for the inspiring and incredible locale, the peace and tranquility, and the Aman service experience. We never let any small annoyances take us away from that goal and from that truth.

I also want to respond to some of the hate folks throw at this place due to the cost. I liken any expensive luxury resort to the appreciation and ownership of HiFi stereo equipment. No one needs a Bower & Wilkins 800 or a couple of Mcintosh MC2 to power them. The "quality" of HiFi equipment is also highly subjective. If you like them and the way they sound and have the means, buy them. If you disagree, don't pass your judgement onto others. Live your life.

Sergio, it was a real pleasure.

This is the best hotel I’ve stayed at in the United States. By a mile.

The food is all top Michelin level…the fact that you can eat unlimited amounts makes you feel giddy in the most magical way.

Everything on the property smells and sounds amazing….its like the entire grounds are a spa.

you are paying for the classy service that isn’t smothering, anticipates your needs and excels in privacy.

If you appreciate Native American culture, the art on property and the evening performers are the real deal.

Also, if you are seasonal between Arizona and Colorado, it’s a perfect stopping point to cut up the drive.

Thanks for putting up with Yoshi. Glad we found you, we will be back through on our commutes.

Very different experience compared to prior stays in the Sarika pavilions. I have joined friends during their stays in the pavilions four times previously and had nothing short of top-notch experiences. Friendly and respectful staff, quick service, and amazing amenities, but that took a 180 when I decided to book my own stay. We were in the pool suite, Mesa, I believe, and I was extremely underwhelmed by the difference. Was it due to the name of my friends, the pavilion/suite price difference, or the time of year (spring)? That is something I still cannot answer as I will not be returning on my own. The staff was still friendly, but always seemed rushed and not as attentive. The food was quite good but subpar to previous stays. I also noticed that mattress was very uncomfortable in comparison. I don't know if there were management or protocol changes, but this last stay definitely let down my expectations. However, my partner had never been and was over the moon in love! They had a wonderful time, so that makes up for a lot of it.
