I am late in writing this review of our trip last November. But the memory of it stays with me to this day. Staying on the land that belongs to this family was a priceless experience. Our host was kind, clear in the expectations of living on the land. We had no running water or electricity, but truly had everything we needed, firewood, a cozy, spotless cabin, solar lamps, a separate spotless bathroom facility and shower. We had an outdoor area to eat the fry bread hamburger dinner brought out to us by a local Dine' chef. We were able to hike, have endless views of canyons to photograph, and enjoyed the numerous modern architecture books, and novels in our cabin. We were provided with coffee, tea, and breakfast foods in the morning.
This land belongs to a Dine' family, and is a working ranch, and we felt completely at home.
If you are expecting a Marriott hotel Experience, please do go there.
If you want to feel the land, the silence, where it meets the dark sky, full of constellations, and relax, this is your place.

This is my second time staying at Shash Dine EcoRetreat, and I bring everyone who comes to visit me in the Southwest here. It’s simply breathtaking. The landscape is absolutely stunning, with wide open skies, peaceful silence, and views that stay with you long after you leave.
The retreat is beautifully designed and thoughtfully maintained, off grid yet equipped with every comfort you could possibly need. Every detail is carefully curated, creating an atmosphere that feels both authentic and incredibly cozy. There’s something truly special about disconnecting here while still feeling completely at ease.
The host is always kind and accommodating, happy to help with any needs, provide recommendations, and share meaningful insights about Navajo culture.
This place has completely stolen my heart, and I already can’t wait to come back.

We stayed in the Kyoob at Shash Dine for two nights in December and it was SO incredible. Such a unique, incomparable experience. Highly recommend if you're looking to see everything in the Page area!! The Kyoob is decorated so beautifully and is incredibly comfortable. We were there in 25-40 degree weather and were never cold! Paul and Baya were fantastic hosts. Baya met us at the entrance and guided us in to get us settled. The stay felt incredibly private. Not to mention the stars were the best I've ever seen in my life. If you're down for the outhouses (which were so clean) and making a fire this is the PERFECT stay!!!

I can’t say enough about this place. Paul was so welcoming and personable as he met us to guide us in. The property is gorgeous. The outhouses are VERY nice, and the shower facilities were more than sufficient.
More than anything, the night sky was literally BREATHTAKING!!! We stayed in the kayoob, which was gorgeous inside. When I stepped outside after dark, I had to catch my breath. Great launching pad for Antelope Canyon, Lake Powell, and Horseshoe Bend, as well as nice restaurants in Page.
The next morning Baya discreetly dropped off a basket of coffee, tea, and goodies. Can’t recommend a stay here enough!

I just want to start with the owner of this incredible place Baya. Shes very informative, accommodating and welcoming. This entire experience was short but left a huge impact. My husband and I have traveled so much and this is definitely on our top 3. We brought our little ones with us. It was very comfortable. The bedding was so soft. Packed with so many attention to details. The bathroom is so clean and the shower is modern with a beautiful view. This is a very quick access to Horseshoe Bend/Lake Powell/Antelope Canyon even Monument Valley. This is the epitome of the greater south west experience. The desert gets cold at night but those blankets they provided was comfy. At night we were surrounded by stars and a clear view of the milky way. We saw a couple of shooting stars. Thank you for welcoming us into your working farm. We will definitely comeback again and longer and even bring people with us. This is a great place for group of people who likes solitude and quiet time from this modern world.
