Duck Creek

Love duck creek, but man… yall must make it a point to hire the grumpiest and most unpleasant park rangers. They were so aggressive and rude the entire stay.

We stayed in B loop and the host, John, was great. Everything was clean. Or sore was huge and had a great table and fire pit (although there were for restrictions). The bathrooms were the cleanest we had been to. There was even a flushing toilet with a sink at one bathroom. Recreation.gov said there was so water which was incorrect. Overall, one of the best places we've camped.

Well kept grounds. 64D was very spacious and felt like it was more secluded. Close to a water spigot. Dumpsters were across the way but not too bothersome. The site is next to a nice open field where a buck ran through, very nice! This spot does get a lot of afternoon sun.

The camp spots at Duck Creek are beautiful, clean, and very well maintained—a truly picturesque setting. However, our experience was mixed. While the camp hosts were friendly, their constant presence felt intrusive, leaving little privacy to enjoy the campground. Additionally, I was uncomfortable with the mandatory cash-only miscellaneous fees, which were not accompanied by receipts. It’s a stunning location, but the atmosphere and policy issues mean I wouldn't return.

Great Weather and the Camp Hosts were excellent. Previously we had received notice that water was not available, so we filled the water tank on our 34 foot Travel Trailer. However, when we arrived, water had been restored.
We took eBikes to ride around the campground and multiple loops which was refreshing in the mountain air. I would recommend this campground.

Campground was closed for a year and I was expecting to see visible improvements. NO. Dirt roads still pitted, potholed, and worse than ever. No change to actual site. What did you do in that year?

I’ve stayed at this campground multiple times, and it continues to be one of my favorite places to camp. The campground is well maintained, and the camp hosts do an excellent job keeping the sites clean. While most campsites have little to no cellular service—which is a huge plus in my opinion—you can get a signal just 2–3 minutes down the road in Duck Creek Village if needed. The fishing at Duck Creek Reservoir and Aspen Mirror Lake was outstanding and made for a great trip.

Unfortunately, this visit was overshadowed by one significant issue. Beginning on Thursday, June 18, several large groups arrived at nearby campsites. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem since most sites are spaced far enough apart to provide privacy. However, one nearby site (Campsite 79) appeared to have approximately six vehicles and around 40 people gathering throughout the day and evening.

Despite camp hosts driving past the site several times, the excessive occupancy and noise were never addressed. The group continued their celebration until approximately 1:00 a.m., playing guitars, banging on pots and pans, and singing mariachi music loudly well past the campground's designated quiet hours.

Most people come to Duck Creek and the surrounding campgrounds to enjoy the peace and quiet that nature provides. When quiet hours aren't enforced, it significantly impacts the experience for everyone else. I hope campground management will place greater emphasis on enforcing occupancy limits and quiet hours so future visitors can fully enjoy everything this beautiful campground has to offer. I ultimately decided on packing up the family 2 nights early as I couldn't stand another 2 nights of disruption.

Very nice campground. The forest was beautiful. The campground was quiet and the people were friendly. Bathrooms were clean. Only an hour from Bryce.

The campsite is nice and so was the camp host. The downfall was all the restrooms near my site were out of order and had to use a porta potties. There was no soap or paper towels in the other restrooms. For the fee, I expected better upkeep.

We were so glad to see that the campground is finally completely open. Because there are so many more sites it wasn't nearly as crowded as it was last year. The campground host had to come and talk to us because our dogs were off leash, but she was very polite, and very nice about it. One thing we noticed when we walked around the campground was the very loud music that was playing. It seemed to be mostly in the larger group sites. I wish they would implement a rule about loud music and noisy generators. We go camping to enjoy the outdoors and peace and quiet. I feel bad for the people who camped right next to that. Otherwise we enjoyed our weekend and we will come back. We just know not to camp near the group sites in the middle.
