What Guests Are Saying

Navajo Lake Campground offers a beautiful setting and a helpful campground host, making it a great destination, especially for tent campers and smaller RVs. While the facilities are a bit dated and the water level is low this year, the clean environment and scenic views are highlights. Some campers noted challenges with tight spots and campfire smoke, but overall, the experience is enjoyable and conducive to reconnecting with nature.

We reserved campsite number 27! This was one of the few that was reservable as majority of the other spots are first come first serve, and they were all naturally taken. While our site wasn’t directly by the lake as some of the others, it was still a great spot. Plenty of room for three tents, right across the bathroom, and a water spigot was accessible on the site. The parking here is also a huge help as you can park directly at your site unlike some. The other campsites have a designated parking area and it’s a far walk to haul your equipment. Number 27 is directly by the road however, so you can hear cars but it isn’t too bad late at night. The only real downside of this campground is the lack of privacy; the sites were really on top of each other and you can hear the noises from just about everyone near you. But it is a beautiful area and there are some great hikes nearby! The hosts (Ozzie and his wife) were so sweet and sell firewood for $6.00 if you need any. Bring a canopy if you have one as well- there isn’t that much shade on the actual sites! I’d definitely come back and reserve this site or number 25!

I love the lake, it's really a beautiful spot for camping, the park ranger was very nice and helpful. the issue was my spot was double booked when I got there after driving from Colorado for 8 hours, the park ranger was aware of this issue and hold another spot for me so that very nice of him and his wife. I hope I don't get into this situation again especially after a long drive, the new spot wasn't that great, it's mostly under the sun with no cover, but I was there only for the night, so it worked out okay.
