What Guests Are Saying

Aspen Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained location, offering spacious sites and stunning views, making it a favorite among campers. Recent upgrades to the bathrooms have been positively noted, although there's a desire for more improvements and clearer site reservation indications. While there are some concerns about rule enforcement and the presence of flies in the bathrooms, overall experiences are positive, with many expressing a strong desire to return.

The reservation process is amazing, but I feel that the reservations should still be posted on the reserved campsites so that others know that they have already been reserved and for how long. I had to ask people to remove their camping units from sites that other family members of mine had reserved.

The budget cuts have hit the campground. This campground has NO enforcement of any rules. People save camping spots. People don’t pay (they told me). Limits on number of people in a spot ignored.
We were there for three days and saw a ranger drive through once.

The campsite in campground was beautiful, but we unfortunately had some noisy neighbors. It was fun to check out a nearby reservoir, Mill Hollow.

We had a large group (40) and the space was plenty big! The area had shade and open space. We easily parked two campers and had room for two more. With only two campers, we had plenty of room to park all our vehicles. The cement tables were awesome! Just a short 2-3 minute walk from the river. The kids had so much fun fishing and swimming! This campground is nestled in between two mountains and the views are stunning. I highly recommend!

Campground was great! Very close to the North Folk Cave so that was a plus.

Couldn’t find a host on site so no firewood unfortunately, had to drive back all the way to Kamas to get some so make sure to bring your own firewood. Vault bathrooms are decent, sometimes they do get filled with flies but with letting the door open for about a minute is enough to get the majority out. Also they don’t have lights in the bathrooms so if your going in the evening make sure to take a flashlight since it gets dark in there before it gets dark outside.

Other than the excess of flies now and then in the bathrooms, we had a great time!!

My only concern is that there’s not enough first come first served sites. I don’t understand why over 70 percent of the sites are reserve only! There are a lot of people who aren’t able to plan far enough ahead to get reservations.

The cattle are out of control and ruined the experience. They were there constantly and were scary. They had young ones with them and they grunted and wouldn't leave.
They were walking and even running all through the campground.
And of course left crap and pee everywhere. It's never been this bad before and I've been going for years.
