Wonderful, peaceful campground except for all the ATVs and other motorized vehicles (not allowed as per U.S. Forest Service in the campground) zooming around the campground loop. Without a camp host, this rule does not get enforced. We won’t be back thanks to the rude and inconsiderate behavior of other campers. Very noisy and dangerous.

The Iron Mine camp ground is great. Clean restroom, good water, level camp sites for RV's and good distance between various sites.

I booked my campsite months ago and was only able to get number 4. Which is one of the worst spots there, no shade, no flat spot for a tent. But all the best spots are first come first serve and they were empty!! THIS IS SO WRONG!!! The people who take the time to book a reservation AND pay should have the choice of the better camping spots. And let the first come people get the not so great ones. This is completely back to front!!! I would like a response to this survey.
I've noticed at many other Recreation.gov campgrounds it is the same thing. Too many first come spots and they are the nicer ones.
I do like the new bathrooms.

The new restrooms were wonderful, the solar lights were a pleasant surprise.

This was a fun campsite. There is a spigot with running water on the site which is convenient. Not much shade but plenty of aspen trees for hammocking. Stayed for a couple nights and got pretty cold at night needing at least three layers and pretty hot during the day (shorts and t-shirt). There’s a fun defas dude ranch saloon and restaurant close by to buy ice.

Great little spot, easy to set, not too far from the restrooms, not to close either.

We really enjoyed camping at the Iron Mine campground. Its was so beautiful. We stayed in site 5. It was not the ideal site being so close to the road but fairly level. We definitely plan on staying again.

Beautiful and spacious campsite. It’s well shaded and quiet. We had to use several blocks to level our trailer, but it was workable.
The rear of the campsite is boarded by a wire fence, probably to keep cattle from wandering into the campground.
I wish the camp host would have posted our reservation (our last name on the post) like they do at some campgrounds. When we arrived, someone was on our campsite thinking it was a first come first serve sight. We worked it out, but had to wait 30 min for them to move, and it could have been prevented had our reservation been posted.
