What Guests Are Saying
The Boy Scout campground offers a clean and enjoyable experience with nice facilities, including sturdy tables and a firepit, and is free of mosquitoes. Many visitors appreciated the beautiful surroundings and hiking opportunities, with some enjoying the quietness and space available during weekdays. However, access can be challenging for larger vehicles due to narrow roads, and it is recommended to bring plenty of water, as potable sources are scarce.

absolutely beautiful. The restroom was acceptable. The nearby hike was challenging. The fact that there are only 6 sites made the area special. I have not camped in Utah before so maybe all camping is lovely, so take my recommendation with that caveat. NO Water! There is a creek however and maybe that water could be used for dishes and what not, we didn't.

No one there in the middle of summer. No mosquitos, either. There were some wandering cows, however. Clean restroom and nice host

Great shade. Nice, sturdy tables and firepit. Several tent options at the group site. Mosquitos were not a problem.
Tips: Bring plenty of water as we could not find any potable water sources in the area.
We enjoyed a little drive to the Utah Fire Museum, about 30 minutes away.

Beautiful area!!! Warnings about the road are somewhat understated, IMO. The narrowness was scary when meeting oncoming vehicles as well as navigating past the many hikers' and climbers' vehicles parked in slightly wider places. I made it all the way in my 24' Class B+ RV/motorhome, but I really shouldn't have been on that road. I did not stay - the aforementioned congestion near the actual campsites made it impossible for me to even see my assigned site, much less to navigate into it! I was very disappointed to leave, and more than a little unnerved by the drive. I really think the campground should be limited to tent campers and car campers, and the navigating difficulty more clearly and elaborately stated. And maybe not open for day use? Although that seems harsh when it's obviously so appealing. All that said, I actually was happy to see so many people enjoying the campground for hiking, and highly recommended the trek to some people I met in the area.

Campsite 5 is an awesome choice. We went on a couple weekdays and had the whole place to ourselves. Good hikes, river is fun and not too deep for kids.

We rented the group site 7/8 and it was awesome. Convenient that the bathrooms are right there and there's 3 long tables which make for a ton of space for everyone. We loved playing in the creek and sleeping to bubbling creek noises
