What Guests Are Saying
Lower Narrows Campground is praised for its beautiful and peaceful setting, offering a fun river for kids to enjoy. However, issues arose with the camp host, who was reported to be unhelpful and aggressive, leading to confusion over reservations and parking fees. Overall, while the campground itself is a great destination, the management experience was notably frustrating for some visitors.

Even with the rain, the campsites were nice and well maintained. This is our new favorite site up South Willow Canyon.

We really enjoyed it here. Beautiful, easy drive on a dirt road that I think any car will be fine on (I drive a Subaru Impreza). Thank you for the great weekend stay!

Nice shady spot, next to the creek. Quite small, but comfy, we managed to fit one 2-man tent and one 6-man tent on the space, but it was crowded. Limited parking too, so be aware. Also right off the dirt road, so a bit dusty and noisy if there are a lot of vehicles coming and going through the canyon. Overall it was great for our overnighter.

We had all 3 lower Narrows sites reserved for a family reunion for the 4th of July. The camp ground was beautiful and peaceful but the bathroom had no toilet paper. The problem we had was that the camp host was a crazy person that sold one of our reserved sites to another group. Then instead of fixing it she tried to get us to share the site we had reserved months ago and which would be at max capacity just with our group.
After much discussion we were able to convince her to move the other people to a different site. We helped these other people move their gear and when we went to the site the camp host had specified it was also occupied.
Later the camp host said it was ok to have a couple extra cars during the day as long as they didn’t stay overnight without paying the $10 per extra car fee but later she was irate and was going to write us a citation because we had too many cars during the day. We had several people that were just coming up for the day. We were willing to pay but were told conflicting information. We were not blocking the road and had plenty of room left in the parking area for the camp. I handed her $30 in cash because there was no envelope in the box which looking back I think she may have just been getting some cigarette money off of me.
In short the camp ground area was beautiful, quiet, and the river was a ton of fun for the kids to cool off in. The camp host was a nut that used foul language, was confused or dishonest in every encounter I had with her and was generally bad at her job.

We reserved a campsite online a week in advance for our family of five. When we arrived, there was already a man occupying our reserved campsite. When we calmly approached him, he became extremely aggressive and insisted that he was there first.
We spent over two hours trying to resolve the situation by contacting the camp host and driving around the surrounding campsites looking for a ranger or anyone who could help. Unfortunately, we were unable to find anyone, and nothing was ever resolved. We ended up leaving feeling extremely upset and discouraged.
