This campground was so fun! Very quiet, tucked away, and so pretty! Bugs were minimal in June. We did see a rattle snake but it’s nature and common for the area so be aware, teach your little ones about that! The creek was great, fun and refreshing to beat the heat! Camp hosts were very nice! My only complaint is that on our last night some campers ran their generator the entire night, and were very loud super late. Please follow campground rules, make camping enjoyable for everyone!

Great spot!! There was a camp host who drove around in a golf cart checking in with folks and was selling fire wood ($7/bundle). There was a lot of people across all the sites, but Site 9 was a little secluded, sort of at the end of a cul de sac, but you could still hear neighbors. So not the best spot if you want off the grid and remote. But certainly a great spot for larger groups, families, and folks who don't mind hearing neighbors (at least in the summer). We were on the other side of the river, which was a little confusing on the online map but there was a water spigot close by to this campsite. Lots of space to spread out. You could easily have 2-3 tents across the site.

This was a pleasant surprise gem!
Spot 3 was fantastic! The stream ran right through the back of it, perfect for older kiddos. Maybe a slight concern for smaller littles. Surprisingly not too buggy at all when we visited in early June.
There were two rope swings which were a blast! It was well shaded for much of the day with tall trees all around.

This is an excellent, primitive campground. The spaces can be a bit tight and all are shaded. The natural beauty of the location keeps us coming back.

It's such a nice campsite for a little larger group. We had 4 cars, 6 people who slept over, and 4 who came for the evening. We camped here 8 years ago, just after my daughter got engaged. This time we had a little reunion remembering this campsite, which was largely unchanged. We took a photo of her and her husband in almost the same spot (the trees have grown so we couldn't do the exact same spot. Thanks for saving the trees! I brought a 5 gallon bucket (with lid) and scooped up as much of the ash that had been dumped to one side of the grill as I could fit. I was sad to find a broken bottle piece in the middle of it. We really enjoy the rope swings you can find as you walk along the stream. We felt safe. We had nice interactions with other campers strolling by.

Maple Grove was a wonderful surprise. It’s been hotter than Hades in the desert, but when we pulled up to site 10, the share from the mesa and trees kept it feeling more than comfortable. If I could fix one thin - keeping the cows out of the campground. We had 2 picnic tables completely cover in cow diarrhea, it was all over the drive, and made camping challenging. We live on open range, so we’re use to it, but it’s not a pretty site to see why cooking out.

A very family friendly camping area. Lots of trails, a creek to play in, and shade! We will come again!
