Moosehorn offers a stunning lake and beautiful surroundings, making it a favorite for families who enjoy fishing and outdoor activities. While the campground shows signs of disrepair, with issues like broken benches and maintenance concerns in the bathrooms, the friendly and helpful camp host significantly enhances the experience. Visitors appreciate the scenic beauty and are eager to return, despite some challenges with site conditions and amenities.

Enjoyed moose horn campground. We stayed at site #6 the first night and it has been rainy with more on the forecast, so there weren’t a lot of options for level sleeping (that weren’t in a major runoff path)
We moved to site 33 in the morning and it was incredible!!

Camp host was great. Facilities were good. Only negative was the trash collections at 5 am. Why have quite hours only for contract workers to violate them?

The area was absolutely beautiful. The campground was pretty rough. The road going in not in good shape the campsite itself not in good shape.

Camp host was fantastic and very present. The sites were gorgeous very big and beautiful. However the bathrooms were the worse dirtiest stinkiest vault toilets I’ve ever used. It seems as though whoever tries to clean it just dumps bleach on the ground or something because if you go in there right in the morning it smells like you’re going to pass out if you’re in there for more than 4 minutes. Like really really strong of bleach, to the point where it’s dangerous.

Beautiful lake and area. Campground is in disrepair. Tables are missing benches or have broken benches. Bathrooms have a horrific chemical smell. No camp host available in the 3 days were there. Very sad to see our federal lands in such disrepair.

This is a beautiful campground, but our space was unsuitable for our trailer. The road is poorly maintained and the site was washed out, leaving it unlevel in all ways. We made it work, but beware if you have a TT. Ours is 25 ft and we still had a lot of issues.

Great location. Lots of nice campsites. We go every year here and the family loves it. Fishing was great. My grandson caught lots of rainbows and some tiger trouts.
