No water in the campground. Porta potties were disgusting and near full. They should have been emptied more frequently.

Currant Creek Campground is praised for its beautiful surroundings, clean facilities, and accommodating hosts who are helpful and friendly. Many visitors enjoy the spacious sites and family-friendly atmosphere, making it a great spot for camping and outdoor activities. However, concerns have been raised about the road conditions and maintenance of restrooms, especially due to water shortages affecting some amenities.

The hosts are incredibly uncaring about the site. Fire pit was full of ashes, cigarette butts and plastic bags upon arrival. Never was checked in by the hosts but had no problem charging $10/car PER DAY for extras even though the sign says otherwise. Men’s bathrooms are absolutely disgusting between blood smears, flooding, and left behind trash. Male host is loop C is using the women’s bathroom regularly.
So heartbreaking to see this spot go down after coming for years. Will not be returning for quite some times.

We come up to Current Creek every year and love it. The camp host have been really good to work with, even got us out of bind this year. Bathrooms and road up there need a lot of work.

Great place to camp! Very clean, quiet and accommodating, Bathrooms are flush and clean. Recommend using the Strawberry route to get to Currant Creek Campground, much smoother ride, the other route is definitely rougher. Great camping though!!! Hats off to the Host, very friendly.

Be prepared to order new dental work! The last seven miles is HORRIBLE washboardy DUSTY road. Once you arrive you will have one of your best times ever! The hosts were fabulous! The facilities were marvelous! The fishing was extraordinarily good! Lots of deer and more squirrels than the kids have rocks to throw (No animals were harmed during these experiences). If I had one thing to voice negatively about my trip it would be that we had to drive 40 mi round trip because the ice machine has been out most of the summer (definitely not the hosts issue. It has been reported just not fixed) The fresh blackberry ice cream was worth the drive but I would've loved those extra few hours floating around trying to entice a few more beautiful tiger trout to come visit the boat. Have a great trip! Call if you need some company!

Very beautiful and calm lake. Secluded spot, not too close to anybody else. Which was nice. Definitely going back.

Men’s bathroom in loop C was leaking. Our campground manager was very nice knowledgeable. Campground was clean. We’ve been there several times now. Love it up there.

From Heber City, Utah, take Highway 40 east for 45 mi to the Currant Creek Junction. Turn off the highway and travel in a northwest direction approximately 17 mi to the campground. The road from the highway is paved for 10 mi and graded gravel for 7 mi.
Stay on the most traveled road. When there are Y's in the road, stay on the road on the east side of Currant Creek, following the Creek to the dam. When you get to the dam, follow the road almost all the way around the reservoir, and you will find the campground near the southwest end of the lake, a short distance from the dam.
Alternate Route:
Take US Highway 40 from Heber City and travel approximately 22 mi southeast to FS Road 082 (Coop Creek Road). There is a Coop Creek sign on the north side of Highway 40. Turn north (left) at the sign and travel approximately 8 mi north. At that point there is another sign for Currant Creek Campground. Turn right at the sign and travel approximately 6 more miles east and south to the campground.
Currant Creek Campground is accessible via US Highway 40, which is approximately 22 miles from Heber City. From Highway 40, the campground can be reached via FS Road 082 after turning onto Coop Creek Road.
