The campground is lovely! While it was extremely dry and barren because of the hot, dry summer, it was still a great campground. There is plenty of space between sites, the pit toilets were kept clean and stocked, and the campground hosts were friendly and helpful. The site we were at had shade trees, and that was greatly appreciated. There was a fire ring on a concrete pad, which was a good choice for an area that is very dry. There were 2 picnic tables at our site which was great for our 9 person group. The tent areas were flat and clear of debris, as well.
The reservoir was being drawn down for water pipe repairs, but access to the water was easy and really, not as far away as I would have expected. There are trails around the reservoir with wonderful views. Overall, it was a great experience!

Anderson Cove RV campground is a rundown, very basic camping facility - dried up grass areas, no hookup service, toilets are a minor step up from old school outhouses. When we arrived, we were greeted by a crabby gate attendant who wanted to know the number of our reserved space vs. just asking for my name. The best part about the campground is its location on the Pineview Reservoir. The beach was a short walk from our RV spot. The Cemetery Point marina is a short drive away and we were offered free parking since we were camping at Anderson Cove. The reservoir offers nice fishing and recreational boating options. We were there on a Monday, so the lake wasn’t crowded. On crowded days, the line to enter the marina I was told can be long since it is one lane and one pay station. We had an RV, but I can’t imagine tent camping here. I’d come back to Pineview Reservoir to fish, but will find other accommodations on our next visit.

It is always fun to spend time at the beach and then be able to just walk back to your campsite for lunch and or dinner. If the water level is high you can find shade along the beach in the trees. If there is a lot of beach make sure to bring your own shade and wear lots of sun screen. Maybe bring some air freshener for the bathrooms. Sometimes at certain times of the day it can get real stinky.

It’s always great to camp at anderson cove. Only downside is the grass needs to be watered.

This is an amazing little campground that is managed very well!! it was my first time here and I was impressed with everything, including the staff at the front check-in kiosk

From Ogden, Utah, take 12th Street east through Ogden Canyon. Continue on Highway 39 north of Pineview Reservoir; campground is on the left side of highway.

- This Campground is in Bear Country Store food and trash securely to avoid attracting wildlife -Failure to comply may result in fines up to $5,000 and/or imprisonment A fed bear is a dead bear
- Dogs or Domestic Pets Owners must -Control dogs by leash not to exceed 6 feet at all times -Clean up dog waste -Limit 2 dogs per site Do not allow dogs to -Threaten or attack people/animals -Interfere with people, vehicles, or property -Cause damage to vegetation or harass wildlife Dogs are not allowed in Day Use, beaches, or in/on the water
- Gates open at 6am-10pm Camping is allowed only within the designated space provided Max occupancy is 8 people per single site Reserved sites will be held until 12pm on the day following your scheduled arrival date Off-road vehicles are prohibited - Put all trash in dumpsters, if provided, or properly stored in your vehicle or bear box - Remove all personal property and trash when leaving - Unclean sites will be reported to the District Ranger LEO - Leaving food/trash in an unoccupied site may result in a $5,000 fine Cleaning fish or bathing where drinking water is supplied is strictly prohibited Fireworks/discharging of firearms or other explosives is not allowed No boisterous behavior. Keep noise at a reasonable level No amplified music is allowed in USDA Forest Service campgrounds and facilities
- There is a 2-night minimum stay on weekends; 3-night minimum stay on holiday weekends
- Trailers/Campers and RVs: No electrical hookups available. Hooking up to the power in the restrooms, even for medical devices, is strictly prohibited
- First Come First Served (FF) sites For reservable sites, reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance FF sites must be claimed in person on the day you wish to check-in Sites listed as FF does not guarantee availability, Recreation.gov does not update FF occupancy The only way to know if an FF site is available is to arrive at the campground on the day you plan to check-in Availability cannot be predicted Recommended arrival times vary by day. Weekends and holidays fill more quickly To claim an FF site, you must be present, occupy the site, and pay at that time
- Entrance pass must be shown every time you enter the park until stay has ended Park only in assigned site No parking or driving on grass. Do not cut or damage any tree or bush No other vehicles are allowed in the boat parking lot. Boat passes must be displayed Check out is at 12pm no excuses- extra vehicle/boat launch passes connected to site also expire at 12pm

- Extra Vehicle -$15 per vehicle, per day (paid on-site)Firewood -$9
- NO ALCOHOL at day use areas or beaches, failure to comply will result in a $250 fine. The campground is the only exception Don't Move Firewood: Help prevent the spread of tree-killing pests in our national forests by obtaining firewood within 10 miles of destination. For more info click here
- Please understand that camping/picnicking is an outdoor experience; we do not give refunds for weather or natural conditions Cancellations within 24 hours prior to arrival date will forfeit the entire use fee and a $10 cancellation fee No-shows, early departures, or cancellations after the arrival date will not be refunded Failure to arrive at the site by 12pm the day after scheduled arrival and do not cancel the reservation, will be charged a $20 service fee and forfeit the first-night use fee
