Anderson Cove (Uinta-wasatch-cache National Forest, UT)

Nice campground but the website has no where to determine what a 2nd car on the campsite would cost. Also the concessionaire has in their contract to not accept the America the Beautiful Senior pass for day use at the entry gate although it still gets the campsite at a discount.

All the staff was amazing. We especially enjoyed talking to Melinda about fishing. She was so kind and helpful.

Andersen is one of our favorite places to camp.

Spot 36 is not an accessible site, though it states that it is. The ground was fairly level and it is right next to a group spot, which was thankfully not reserved for our weekend. It is also right next to the highway so you have traffic noise all day, though it does die down at night. The campground was taken care of and the hosts were all very friendly. We got in line to dump at the station there, and that is when we saw the sign that says they charge $15 to dump there. That's tacky.

The staff were friendly, however, the smell coming from the bathrooms was unbearable at times. If the wind shifted the right way then the entire campsite was unpleasant to be in. Aside from the smell, I’d recommend.

We had an amazing time camping at Anderson Cove! The perfect place to enjoy nature, relax, and make unforgettable memories with friends and family. The campground was beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a group trip. We absolutely loved it and can’t wait to come back!!!!!

Spacious campsites, plenty of shade, friendly camp hosts. We love camping here.

I drove up a day before our reservation and made adjustments with the amazing staff at the front desk. They were so kind and helpful. They even said I could drive our boats and equipment down to the water. I arrived the day of our reservation to a new front desk staff that had changed my reservation back to our original site, had the customer service skills of a chimpanzee and were rude. After this they then told me I could not drive down to the water. I then got yelled at for supposedly speeding by a camp host and finally another camp host came and yelled at us for unloading boats in the newly approved location.
Very poor experience especially given there were only 5 campers in the entire camp. You would have thought they would be excited to have campers after the dismal water and lack of summer visitors they have experienced.

Campground was clean. Put toilets were as expected. Only issue we had was a large group of campers being loud well after quiet hours. Kids screaming, people talking, dogs barking with after midnight. Same group had 3 dogs off-leash roaming all over. One came to our site & yapped at our (much larger, LEASHED) dog. The dog would not leave & its owners couldn't care less. Kind of hard to relax & enjoy my OWN spot when someone else's dog is around & my dog can't even enjoy his own area. I thought there was a leash policy? Resevoir was low but we still were able to enjoy paddleboarding & it was not crowded due to low water levels. Our site was near the main road & we could hear traffic, but it wasn't a huge deal. Next time we know which sites to choose.

The campsite was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We love this campground.
