What Guests Are Saying
Ledgefork is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and attentive camp hosts, making it a favorite camping destination for many. However, there are concerns about inadequate parking, unclear check-in/check-out times, and potential safety hazards at some sites, including poor asphalt conditions. Overall, visitors appreciate the peaceful environment and cleanliness, but urge for improvements in safety and amenities.

Ledgefork campground is one of my all-time favorite places to camp. It is absolutely gorgeous environment with streams and a lake nearby. Wildlife is abundant and camp host could not be more helpful and friendly. Steve goes above and beyond! Pit toilet facilities are always clean and restocked with TP. While not a deal breaker, the campground has not had potable water for last 4 years? I would hope the forest service would make the investment in repairing the water system that is needed at this campground, or not charge as much for camping area with no potable water.

Ledgefork is one of my favorite places to camp. Site #27 is an inside site, so no access to any of the rivers. It has 3 spaces for medium to small tents. Our large tent did not quite fit, so we didn't pull it to it's full width. It contained a nice little area with trees to get shade and hang a hammock. Easy access to 2 bathrooms. None of the RVs near us ran their generators, which was lovely. There was a huge group with 5 cars taking up the 2 spots next to us and they were quiet and friendly. It was still quite cold in the middle of June -- got to 32 degrees one night.

I’ve been going there for 20 years and have enjoyed it ver much. Two things, not sure why you went from 6 month rotation to 4? It’s harder to get spots at the 4 month rotation. Second, having no water it a lot harder for campers who don’t have trailers. Thanks again for everything you do.
