What Guests Are Saying
Ledgefork is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and attentive camp hosts, making it a favorite camping destination for many. However, there are concerns about inadequate parking, unclear check-in/check-out times, and potential safety hazards at some sites, including poor asphalt conditions. Overall, visitors appreciate the peaceful environment and cleanliness, but urge for improvements in safety and amenities.

This campsite was incredible! Well, the campsites were a little close, our particular campsite was close enough to the river to provide white noise that made us feel secluded from everyone else. The nearby trail was an awesome and beautiful activity. From what we saw, our specific campsite was one of the best on the loop. We definitely want to camp here again and walk to your same exact campsite.

Great campground. Stayed in 41 on the upper section. The camp ground host was right across from us and was super nice. There is a lot of dogs up there unleashed. Also the site had dog droppings all over plus dog food that some slob just dumped on the ground and didn’t bother cleaning up. It truly amazes me how ridiculously lazy people are.

I LOVE camping at Ledgefork! It has been my family's and my favorite place to go for 25+ years.
The only issue I have, is that it is hard to get a reservation anymore, and there are little to no first-come-first-serve spots. Some people seem to know how to get past the website reservation policies to reserve their spots and dates before the regular window opens for reservations. For example, I have literally been sitting at my computer and at 12:00 a.m. when the reservation window opens for the upcoming season, I try to get my favorite spots, or any spot, and they are already booked. How does that happen when the window supposedly just opened for the upcoming season? I have missed the last few summer seasons because I couldn't find a few spot big enough for my family and me on any date; We are flexible on the dates. Since we have missed a few years, I took the ONLY dates available for camping, which were mid-October. It was darn cold!!
The host, Don, is so wonderful and helpful. I was sad to hear this is likely his last year. The next host has some big shoes to fill!
