What Guests Are Saying

Ledgefork is praised for its beautiful scenery, clean facilities, and attentive camp hosts, making it a favorite camping destination for many. However, there are concerns about inadequate parking, unclear check-in/check-out times, and potential safety hazards at some sites, including poor asphalt conditions. Overall, visitors appreciate the peaceful environment and cleanliness, but urge for improvements in safety and amenities.

Camp hosts are fantastic! Bathrooms were super clean and not smelly. Great wildlife, we had a momma and baby moose go right through our camp and a beaver dam was right behind our site. Couldn’t keep the dog and kids out of the river. A great time was had by all.

The campground manager / host goes above and beyond. Always makes sure campers questions are met. Some less than intelligent and drunk guy decided to practice shoot toward campground. The Camp host manager immediately resolved a tense and very dangerous situation using tact to persuade the highly arm d and drunk man to leave the area as other armed campers closed in the confront the guy.
Local authorities were notified and man was arrested as he left the area. This is a beautiful campground but it hasn’t had water for a number of years - waiting for Army Core of engineers to bring local spring up to safe standards. Overall good campground!

The only reason this is not a 5 star is because some one was in our spot (completely set up with tent, canopies, hammocks, and trailer) when we showed up 30 mins after check in! They were not around to move and still claim they have that spot. Luckily someone went home early or we would not have a spot at all.

The camp host had our name on the site but the other group showed her their paper work; we had ours as well.

The host thinks this could be a website booking error?! Not cool.

Campground on the other hand is amazing!

Policies & Rules

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
    • Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
  • Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
